PHILOSOPHY

TODAY, LIGHTING EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGIES AND RESEARCH IN HUMAN VISUAL NEEDS ARE RAPIDLY EXPANDING. SENSITIVELY APPLIED, THESE NEW TOOLS OFFER EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES TO ENHANCE THE FORM AND FUNCTION OF ARCHITECTURAL SPACES.

28 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE DESIGN, SPECIFICATION AND APPLICATION OF LIGHTING PROVIDE THE BACKGROUND NECESSARY TO UTILIZE THESE NEW TOOLS. WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK WITH THE DESIGN TEAM AS A MEANINGFUL CATALYST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF EFFECTIVE AND APPROPRIATE LIGHTING SCHEMES FOR COMMERCIAL AND INSTITUTIONAL PROJECTS.

BRUCE C. DUNLOP, IALD, LC, IESNA

Bruce Dunlop at BWI

Bruce began his lighting career in 1979, joining the family business of Chesapeake Lighting. Additional design experience was gained working for Washington, D.C. lighting consultant, Scott M. Watson, IALD, LC, IES. In 2000, he joined the partnership of Crampton/Dunlop Architectural Lighting Services, LLC to serve the growing needs of the Baltimore architectural community. In 2007, Bruce Dunlop Lighting Design was formed to more closely address the lighting needs of the 21st century.

Bruce is a professional member of both the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), and the National Council for Qualifications of the Lighting Professions (NCQLP). In addition, he is a faculty member of the Maryland Institute College of Art and co-founder of the MICA/IES Lighting Lab. Bruce is also Education Committee Chairman of the IES Maryland Section and an affiliate member of AIA/Baltimore.
